Podcast Legalities
Podcasters: save this for now (or later!) because you can’t ignore these legal must-haves.

Here’s how to Legally protect that Podcast :
Form a LLC to run the podcast under, or potentially run it from an already existing LLC. Treat it like a business. If you plan on monetizing someday, this is even more important.
Do a comprehensive Trademark search for the podcast name. Checking other podcasts isn’t enough. Someone could be using the name for similar doings ( Youtube, blogs, etc. )
Bringing on guests? Have them sign a guest release so you can use their interview, name, and likeness freely.
Once the recordings start flowing, you can file copyright applications to register your episode content.
Don’t forget about these other no-no’s while your podcasting :
-Don’t use audio you don’t have explicit permission to use, this is copyright infringement.
-Be aware of your first amendment rights and avoid crossing those lines.
-Sponsorships must be disclosed.
